Sixteen-month Old Toddler, Stephen Hart ingests Benadryl while parents distracted doing laundry, dies.

Grants Pass, Oregon - Three toddlers were admitted to Three Rivers Medical Center this month for accidently injesting Benadryl, killing one and sending another into a coma. All three incidents occurred on September 11, 2010. Stephen's parents took him to the hospital immediately but he dies within hours. Doctors say that many people are under the false impression that a toddler's stomach can be pumped or that there is an antidote but that is not the case. Most poisonings do not have an antidote and the treatment is supportive care. Prevention is the key. September 22, 2010
