Springville, Maine boy, 5 drowns after fall into Mousam River

Springville, Maine - A five-year old boy, tumbled into the Mousam River in an area know as Indian's Last Leap near the Mousam Way hiking trail when he was swept down the river. His mother entered the water to try to save him but was unable to reach him. Both the boy and his mother were taken Goodlall Hospital in Stanford and the mother was treated and released.  March 7, 2010
