New Jersey boy, six, finds handgun and shoots and kills 5 year-old relative in the back of the head

Paterson, New Jersey - A six-year-old boy, found a loaded gun and shot and killed his 5 year-old relative while playing with the loaded handgun. Police have charged the man that shares the bedroom with the six year old with gun violations.  According to police the boys were watching TV when the pair found the gun and it discharged hitting 5-year old Daron Mayes in the back of the head. He did a short time later at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson. The man that owned the gun was not home at the time and others in the home were unaware there was a loaded gun in the home.
