Ethridge Amish boy found dead in barn, hanged July 16, 2009
ETHRIDGE — A two-year old Amish boy was found hanged in a milk barn Tuesday morning. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Terry Beecham said family members found the boy, who was identified as Danny Miller, around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday hanging from bailing wire inside a milking barn. The incident occurred at 62 Grey Road. Beecham said investigators determined the boy was playing with the wire while standing on a stool. He said the stool fell and the boy got entangled in the wire. The chief deputy said foul play does not appear to be involved in the boy’s death and that family members were outside the barn doing chores when the boy died.
